Malco Electric recently completed the renovation to the former Tom Gola basketball arena. The project included a state-of-the-art lighting and sound control system, NBA style Jumbotron, all new seating, an extensive renovations to the locker rooms and concession areas. Malco Electric performed all power and fire alarm work and engaged The Opt. 4 Group for all low voltage sound and data cabling. We were very fortunate to work alongside ANC who was responsible for the lighting and sound systems as well as the Jumbotron and vomitory displays. This was a challenging project that required lots of on site alterations and had a strict deadline that was met on time.
The Arena features a 360-degree bowl with all chairbacks, state of the art video boards, both in the center hung and multiple ribbons, completely redone audio and lighting systems, and several more improvements to the fan experience that will contribute to an improved homecourt advantage for the Explorers.
